Momentum then turned mixed mid-week: Invest Data reported the ASI shed 1.05% on 9 September to close at 242,223.10 points, breaking its 244,289.06 support level. The broader backdrop remained supportive, with Vanguard reporting that FTSE Russell has confirmed Nigeria's return to Frontier Market status effective 21 September 2026, reversing its earlier move to "Unclassified".
